Designer Elle Sakellis launched Otrera in 2004 as a jewelry company, designing pieces that have been worn by celebrities such as Alicia Keys and Maggie Gyllenhaal.  Long Inspired by Mykonos, where she owns a house and summers with her family, Sakellis created her Evil Eye scarf after admiring a display of Evil Eyes in a small Mykonian tourist shop.
